About Us
The New Diplomacy Platform (NDP) is a research institution and consultancy dedicated to bringing progressive perspectives and analysis to international affairs and strategic issues. We passionately believe in strengthening and improving global governance in order to create a more secure and prosperous world.
The world is changing at a rapid rate with an increasing number of actors controlling and influencing global politics. NDP take a pragmatic rather than an abstract approach to our analysis in response to this challenge. Our primary aim is to find practical solutions to address complex global issues by providing policymakers, practitioners and international businesses with relevant and clear insight.
Having first worked together at the Royal Institute of International Affairs (Chatham House) Sam Hardy and James Denselow each have extensive experience of foreign, defence and development policy formulation and analysis and political and media consultancy. They have board level advisory experience with multinational companies, have advised national governments, and have worked with the majority of foreign affairs and development think tanks. They have launched the NDP as a dynamic platform which offers a blended approach to foreign affairs and international development, acknowledging the impact the business cycle and a fast-moving politics and media culture has on modern policy making.
Senior Advisory Board
The NDP is also supported by a Senior Advisory Board who offer strategic advice on the organisation’s consultancy project work and research. The Board has significant collective experience and expertise on areas including media and communications; foreign and development policy; and political risk analysis.
- Simon Buckby, Managing Director of Champollion Communications

- Professor Richard Youngs, Director General of the Foundation for International Relations and External Dialogue (FRIDE)
